Bronze Cross and Standard First Aid
Prerequisite: Proof of completion of Bronze Medallion and Emergency First Aid with CPR B. Bronze Cross builds on the water rescue skills and first aid knowledge gained during Bronze Medallion. Provides an introduction to safe supervision of aquatics facilities. Successful candidates will receive two certifications. 100% attendance is recommended. Prerequisite: minimum 13 years of age or completion of Bronze Star. This course will focus on developing fitness, skills and judgment necessary for effective rescues. Applications of resuscitation techniques and emergency procedures are learned as well. 100% attendance is recommended. Mac Student or Member: $170.00 Non-Member: $180.00
+National Lifeguard Certification
Prerequisites:16 years of age by the exam date , Bronze Cross and Standard First Aid . Participants learn team work, leadership and preventative techniques. This nationally recognized certification focuses upon recognition and emergency and rescue procedures as well as physical fitness. Fees - Member: $269.00; Non-member: $289.00. Register on-line or in person in DBAC WG101.
+National Lifeguard Re-certification
Prerequisite: Proof of previous National Lifeguard Certification not exceeding 3 years from certification date. NL Re-certification provides an opportunity to demonstrate your skills and recertify your award. Mac Student or Member: $80.00 Non-Member: $90.00
+Swim Training For All : Fall/Winter
If you are looking for a swimming experience that is more intense than recreation then this is the program for you! This Golden Horseshoe Aquatic Club program is adapted for participants from Novice to Advanced swimming abilities. Workouts are offered 5 times a week. Create the program that works best for you. Swimmers should be able to complete a minimum of 200meters. Contact the Golden Horseshoe Aquatic Club - ghacswimming.ca for registration and details.
