WTF Taekwondo is an Olympic sport based on the ancient Korean martial arts. Taekwondo is recognized to have superiority when it comes to kicking efficiency, agility, control, and power. Enhance your endurance and reflex while you enrich your body and mind.nnThe Ryerson Taekwondo Club was founded in 2007 and provides all its members with the opportunity to learn, execute and practice:n- basic, intermediate and advanced kicking techniquesn- sparring in class or at tournamentsn- poomsaes (patterns) in class or at tournamentsn- how to increase your technique power and speedn- kick and punch board breakingn- self-defense techniquesnnOther advantages of practicing taekwondo include:n- improving fitness and cardion- participating in official competitionsn- practicing and Olympic sportn- making new friends and attending social activitiesnnEach semester, all members are also eligible to test and advance in belt ranking based on their skills set and knowledge.
