Run, Jump, Throw

Note: This program will not be offered again until our Indoor Track Renovations are complete, Timelines TBD.  Run Jump Throw is a recreation program that introduces children ages 6-12 to running, jumping and throwing events from the sport of track and field. Participants will learn specific drills to improve speed, rhythm, strength and balance; skills which are transferable to other sports and activities. Training sessions will be held at the 200m indoor track located in the David Braley Athletic Centre. This program is delivered in partnership with Stoney Creek Athletics, a registered member of the Minor Track Association and Athletics Ontario.

Superhero Training Academy, Ages 13-20

Superhero Training Academy is a fitness program designed specifically for children and youth with special needs. The program focuses on improving fitness fundamentals, such as balance, flexibility, coordination and strength, while also promoting the development of social skills, such as listening to instructions and working cooperatively in groups. In order to achieve these goals, children receive the undivided attention of one or two dedicated McMaster student volunteers. Our program is divided into two sessions: Junior (5-12) and Senior.(13-20) Age guidelines have been given for each of these sessions; however, please do not hesitate to contact the Program Coordinator at sta@mcmaster.ca if you would like to talk about which session would be best for your child based on their specific needs. Fall/Winter Fees: DBAC Members: $110.00 Non-Members: $130.00
