105 Lb. Division

The Spartans involve about 200 children between the ages of 4 and 15. A member of the Keystone State Football League, our club plays its homes games at East Plymouth Valley Park, about ½ mile west of the Plymouth Meeting Mall (toward Route 202) on Germantown Pike in Plymouth Township. Away games are played in Montgomery, Bucks and Philadelphia counties. Our football teams - including most recently our 75lb team in 2013 - have won numerous Keystone championships through the years. Our junior and senior competition cheerleading squads appear in competitions all over the Philadelphia area between January and March. The girls have won more than a dozen first-place trophies in recent years and many of them have gone on to cheer for the Plymouth-Whitemarsh High School’s renowned varsity and junior varsity cheerleading teams. Recently, in 2014 we have created a special needs cheer team, designed to help those with special needs participate in team activities. The Spartans are dedicated to promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, discipline, and character. Our kids work hard but also have loads of fun. As evidenced by our adult volunteers who once played and cheered for our organization, the Spartan experience is a positive one that will stay with your child for a lifetime. That is our mission. We are a 57 year old non-profit organization that spends all the funds we raise on our children. Registration fees pay for uniforms, equipment, a year-end trophy for every child, awards for members of championship teams, and special awarded gifts for children who have participated for 4, 7, and 9 years. Besides using registration fees, the Spartans also depend on snack stand revenue, a yearly contribution from Plymouth Township, and private donors to fund operations.
